Patek Philippe Service Manual and Practical Guide

Deniss Fedotovs, 29.03.2026., 17:44

The full title is "Patek Philippe Service Manual and Practical Guide concerning the modifications made to the different calibres. For the use of watch repairers." Possibly published in 1971, but that's not sure.

Red binder, with probably around 100 pages. On last page there is written "Printed in Switzerland - Haefeli 600 / 71", that's why I assumed it might be from 1971. But then I saw also similar catalogue with yellow cover, having additionally some quartz calibers listed (so those pages were published after 1971), but it had the same writing on last page. On the other hand, it's also a common practice to publish initially base information and then send to watchmakers additional pages to put into the binder when there are updates.

Patek Philippe Service Manual and Practical Guide

Apart from couple pages with introduction to Patek Philippe history this catalogue has following sections:

  • Calibres for ladies watches
  • Calibers for men's watches
  • Calibers with automatic winding
  • Pocket watch calibres
  • Perpetual calendar
  • Shock-absorber systems
  • Spring-checking and adjustment
  • Lubrication table
  • Small clocks

I will not list here all calibers listed, but the catalogue additionally to the parts lists has some nice tips for repairing, dissasembling, assembling, oiling. The Patek Philippe caliber 350 technical sheet has nice exploded parts diagram (all this info can be found in The Watchmakers App linked to related calibers).

The Watchmakers App also has the most comprehensive Patek Philippe calibers list ever published, with related technical sheets added to most calibers.
